Hair and Beauty Courses Mayo – St Louis CS

St Louis Community School in Kiltimagh offer a range of hair and beauty courses both part time as evening courses which run in Autumn and Spring each year and also full time PLC courses which run in Autumn each year. More details about the courses on offer are listed below..

Evening Courses

  • Nail technology – Level 6 QQI Award Tuesday 6-9pm
    13 weeks, includes kit
  • Threading ITEC Level 2 Certificate
    Duration 5 weeks
  • ITEC Level 2 Certificate in Make Up
    14 week course Wednesday evenings 6-9pm (includes a beauty kit and ITEC registration)
  • Barbering – City & Guilds Certified – Level 2
    15 weeks Wednesday evenings 6-9pm –  City & Guilds registration, 2 training heads, wahl clippers, assessments and on line test.
  • Advanced Barbering – City and Guilds Certified – Level 3
    12 weeks, Tuesday evenings 6-9pm – City & Guilds Certified
  • Hair Extensions (No Experience Necessary) – Level 3
    15 weeks Monday evenings 6-9pm (includes kit)

PLC Courses

  • QQI Level 5 Certificate in Beauty Therapy and ITEC Diploma for Beauty Specialists Course
    This is a one year course running from September to May timetabled over three days.
    Successful completion of this course will result in a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Beauty Therapy, 5M3471 and ITEC diploma (level 2) for beauty specialists
  • QQI Level 6 Certificate in Beauty Therapy with ITEC certification in Body Massage (Level 3 Award ), Thermal auricular therapy (Level 2 certificate), Bridal make up (Level 2 certificate) Course
    This is a one year, full time course running from September to May.
    Successful completion of this course will result in a QQI Level 6 Award in Beauty Therapy, 6M3479and 3 ITEC certified qualifications in Body Massage (Level 3 Award ), Thermal auricular therapy (Level 2 certificate), Bridal make up (Level 2 certificate)
  • QQI Level 5 Award in Hairdressing Course
    This is a one year, course running over 3 days from September to May.
    Successful completion of the Introduction to Hairdressing, will result in a QQI Level 5 Award in Hairdressing, 5M3351
  • City & Guilds Diploma in Ladies Hairdressing (3002)
    This one year course involves on and off the job training in Hairdressing running from September to May Award Successful completion of this course will result in a City & Guilds Diploma in Ladies Hairdressing.3002-61
    Entry Requirements QQI/FETAC Level 5,Distinction in the Hairdressing Theory & Practice Module. OR significant occupational experience, exemptions granted to Mature Applicants.
